As the official florist of Lexington’s Father/Daughter Dance for the past 7 years, we are happy to support the Friends of the Lexington Main Library with their annual fundraiser. All proceeds from the ticket sales, benefit the Youth Service Area at the Lexington Main Library! The 9th Annual Dance was held on Saturday, February 21st at Lexington High School and 950 Dads and Daughters danced the night away!
Each year we make several wrist corsages for many of the young ladies attending the dance. It is always a lot of fun on pick-up day to see everyone so excited about the big night! One Dad came and picked up the corsage while his daughter was getting her hair done and we talked about how fast they grow up and to enjoy every moment. Before long, they will coming in for prom corsages! One Grandma that came and picked up told me a story about how her 6 year old granddaughter was given an invitation to the dance from her Daddy. It didn’t have a “maybe” option so her first response was no, but once she realized that she would have a dress and shoes to wear, her answer was YES! Isn’t that so cute?!?!
Below are some photos we took on Friday while we were making the corsages. Recipe – Attach a few miniature rose buds and babies breath to a bow with floral glue. Use ribbon streamers to tie on wrist and have FUN!
We love having a small part in this special night for these Dads and Daughters! Precious memories to last a lifetime! Look at the two super sweet photos below that were shared with us!
